We love u Sachin

I wrote this post right after India lost miserably to Australia in their penultimate game at the CB series in Australia.

Mr Dhoni… 14 off 49 balls… One-day down under… And you still call sachin’s legs are growing older…
Just Because you have got us a couple of matches saved/won in succession doesn’t give u a right to question a man who has been playing for the before the time you had even learnt how to pee on your own…
Although your comments don’t deserve much of an attention who being a captain … 2-0 down in test series makes a voluntary announcement that you may retire from test… without thinking how it would affect the morale of the team… and you still call yourself a team man…

And all those aussie greats who say Sachin is going ponting way… plz dont even compare the two… we have already had enough of OZ bullshit with Greg Chappel.

And Kapil Paaji… we all know why you played so long… just to get that figure of 434 wickets… you were great but u were not the greatest!!!

Also its not about blaming… its all about who has a right to speak… and IMHO not Dhoni… I am not blaming him for choosing Ashwin instead of in form Rahul Sharma (call it favoritism) … I do not blame him for the amazing field placements he had during all the 8 tests we lost on a trot overseas.. it was only ALL the commentators COMMENTED on it… I am not even blaming him for the Timing of his comments in public… SEEMS Sachin got aged right after the first 2 tests down under… and I do not blame him today also for yet again playing so slow and again expecting that he would be doing a Miracle… Any learned man would know Miracles Happen Seldom… and he is just a mere mortal and not god…

Good Bye Scholesy!!! [Tribute to the Legend]

Yesterday one man called it quits to his professional soccer career whom i had grown watching since I was a kid. The man Paul Scholes was a true United legend, an England hero and a very humble human. I still remember him donning United midfield with David Beckham on his right and Ryan Giggs on his left when they used to play for united in nineties. Continue reading Good Bye Scholesy!!! Sweet 23

So that was it πŸ˜‰ Touching the 23 year mark yesterday and believe me what a day it turned out to be. Right from the beginning to the end of the day, it was amazing. Being away from home, still there were a few guys who didn’t made me feel much about it. Those special friends, thos special kamineys to be more precise, they turned the day to be a mindblowing day.

Starting off with the regular ritual that flat mates started off with… the regular Cake cutting ceremony. They were planning from a long time πŸ˜› and asif I didn’t knew πŸ˜‰ and that Chocolate cake splashed on my face… Yuks!!! Believe me choc is not the type of cake you would wish to get yourself applied on with. It stinks like anything πŸ˜› But there was no bathing ritual with anything, so that came out pretty well. (BTW We missed Abhishek for that πŸ˜› ). B’Day bums were to follow but I again got blessed due to lack of manpower πŸ˜€
Wishes from friends followed, but one of a close one forgot, and that wish came pretty late next day, but along with that came an innocent surprise which I loved. I know I am going to get brickbats for writin it off here, but beleive me, I loved that part. The sad part was that we had office that day, and so here we all go to office, beginning our daily routine, which we cant help with πŸ˜›
Sharing B’day on same day as with Saran was a pretty good experience, and moreso because he is in same  team as me πŸ˜› For a few Moments we had our floor stop all the work and save snacks and sweets πŸ˜‰ and trust me that gives a lot of time to relax and do TP. Fun @ work is what you may call it πŸ˜› although for a single day. And B’day at office was also awesome… but again got chocolate cake πŸ˜› and the Bumming up ceremony was a bit vigorous, and stressful, but I was fine πŸ˜‰ Yea seriously πŸ˜›  but I remember who all were there πŸ˜› to kick my butt πŸ˜› kamino I too would get a chance.
What I felt good about was that a few top notch IT engineers (from my own batch, and that top notch thing is a sarcasm πŸ˜› ) came to my bay and chatted πŸ˜‰ after pain u surely have some gain πŸ˜›
That was one side… Office over, so time to move out as Arun and vidhi had arrived by then. So went to McDonalds for some time, along with Khyati and Manmeet. (Dunno why I fall to such preys, so dumb of me πŸ˜› ) and there came the big surprise. Vishal was there, with a cake specially mentored to be applied on face. Grr… not again πŸ™ and there I was plastered with cake in whole public view πŸ˜› and then I was asked to change my shirt with a new one that Arun and Vishal had brought… aila.. How can they do this to me πŸ˜› hehe… hopefully McD guys wont disbar me the next time I enter there πŸ˜› Hehe ;). Not to forget the Bums for the third time in a day
So we went to cascade for the treat, and there came up the other surprises, an awesome watch by the office group, consisting Daddu, MJ, Bulbul, Lee and Lambu (nicknames kaafi hai πŸ˜› ) and the Bigger surprise was that Sunil was also there, straight from pune.. I mean wtf was happeing with me… College buddies coming up out of nowhere, and giving such a pleasant surprises. And the best of all even Khyati and others knew that πŸ™ Chalo off there goes the Treat, having sumptous meal, with all the fun attached. Amazing experience.
Late at night just before the clock touched 12 yet again… there I went up in air again, this time with more manpower to handle me, and Arrrggh… Vishal I would remember ur B’day for sure.. πŸ˜› mil tu dubara πŸ˜‰
That summed up an amazing day, taking B’day bums for 4 times is no mean thing, with such people around πŸ˜‰ A day made very special by Khyati, Arun, Vidhi, Bulbul, Vishal, Mrityunjay, Sonali, Saran , Manmeet , Pandavas and not to forget those who were deeply missed, Rahul, Abhishek, Bhavik ( Kaminey I was serious ), the PLG πŸ˜‰ , Puneet, and all the others πŸ™‚ Thanks a lot guys for making this day such a memorable one.

Sachin and Saurav still a force

A day after Sachin Tendulkar became test cricketÒ€ℒs highest run scorer, and First person to cross 12000 run mark ever in Test Cricket, another of IndiaÒ€ℒs Fab Four showed why he was called the King of his time. Saurav Ganguly score a century, to drive India to a comfortable position on the second day of the second Test at Mohali. This is when He has announced that this is going to be his last series, and he would be hanging his boots after this. No matter what People may think of him he has always been aΒ  legend and someone of his stature would be surely missed in the dressing room.

ganguly_punch

sachin-gangulyThis century is a specially dedicated one to those who thought that Dada was a Spent force, and was no longer needed in the team. He and Sachin stabilized the innings , and after little maestro got out , took total control of the things. This is a special gift for those who think seniors must retire. They would surely do but get us a backup first. It is really sad that Saurav would be retiring after the series, and If you see the kind of games that have been played with the prince of Kolkata , he should sit down at a high. His being dropped out of ODI team was a blasphemy , as he was hell loads better than the so called young chaps in the team.

Anyways who cares a Damn about what Dhoni( with his theory of Youngistan) and his like minded people think. These guys were legends and would remain the same, someone as blunt a player as Dhoni can remain as best ranked batsman but you wonÒ€ℒt get the flair and touch as these guys. Would Surely miss these legends when they retire. sad, but that’s life, and asΒ  far as SauravÒ€ℒs retirement goes, that’s not just life, its INDIA and sick politics attached to every facet of life in here. and yeah! FU Greg! you ruined what should have become the greatest team in world cricket by now.

IIT Delhi – Parikrama Live at Blitzkrieg

I know I am late for this but frankly saying didn’t had time to express how I felt about the fest. It was simply amazing. The crowd was great as usual, and the atmosphere was even more amazing. Add to the scenario, it was a pleasant weather, and giving the rains for last two days, pretty and coll winds blew.

Add to this, the Parikrama guys were stunt biking, and zipping around there on their monster machines ala superbikes, added a few more sparkles to the last day of the fest. This was outside the OAT – where the event had to take place. Enter the arena, it was just electric therein.

Okay, lets take out the competitive event for now, lets go straight to the professionals who had come there. First was decibel, the last year’s heroes, they lacked the charisma of last time, or maybe we expected more from them. Even Naagin was not up-to the standards with which they played last year, as competitors. But were good enough.

MyndSnare at IIT Delhi rendezvous 2008

Next out were Mynd Snare… a Truly death metal band, and it was amazing to head bang, with such music being dished out live. One more event happened with us, and we were taken back stage by Saksham and it was amazing to be on the stage and watching bands perform. Especially Jasmine from Mynd Snare, who is amongst best drummers in country (and yeah, she is a girl πŸ˜‰ ). Then we had to come off the stage because legends were coming in…

So last people to perform were the legends themselves – PARIKRAMA. Not enough words to describe them, how It felt to see Indian legends perform live, and they performed some amazing songs- self composed (my vote goes for Tears of the Wizard ), and a couple from Iron Maiden – Trooper, and Fear of the dark, and the last song was ACDC – Highway to Hell.

Here is a collection of some videos recorded by us while the Legends were performing. Enjoy Them! They are in High quality too, so prefer that…

Some other Fest Videos are also uploaded on my Youtube Channel

Got joining Letter!!!

Oracle Financial Services Software Limeted

At last Today was the day, that was destined to deliver the mail of Joining Oracle Financial services software limited. So on 3rd November I would be a part of the Huge Oracle Family, and Frankly during this huge financial and global slowdown its actually a boon to get joining on the same year , as many companies like TCS and Infosys have slowed down the recruitment process.

Anyways this was a good news and more so because some of the TCS placed friends would also be joning mumbai in late november after their training at Hyderabad, notably khappi ones like Vidhi, and Our beloved ‘Baaman‘-Arvind. Good enough, YMCA people together again for some Khap πŸ˜€

OMG!!! Last Practicals Too Over

So today was it. Last of the practicals also over. it was ll done. Pradeep sir took all our vivas sans the DSP viva. So its all in his hands and so if he feels bad about someone he might face the heat. Nevermind. Today we were asked to get our so called project on Banking management to be patented. We all couldn’t stop our laughs after coming out of the room. It was so Insane… that My goodness. Anyways its all to the finals now, the good End sems. The last for the college. So let them come and pass by with as ease as always.

Bad day

Yesterday was a bad day regarding the sporting scenario. First of All I was not able to watch the sproting events live 😐 secondly the teams I would have supported lost. Firstly it was Manchester United losing to Chelsea 2-1 . It was real sad regarding that Man U had a clear cut lead over the table but for last couple of matches or so they kind of lost that lead and after this Loss they are par with Chelsea on top of table. So they will have to really Lift up their game to stave OFF the Chelsea Challenge. Continue reading Bad day

Last Day in College

It is just not sinking in… Yesterday was the last day in college for my engineering life. It just feels so sad that I have spent some 4 years in college and it just feels like yesterday. I still remember clearly the day of my admission, that ‘Councilling Extravaganza’ πŸ˜› lol but that has become history is just not getting right in. Also was the last internals of Engineering, and that too of WorkShop and for the first time the final project of workshop did work πŸ˜€
Now no more Hasmukh Sir’s labs and workshops, no more time pass in workshops for most of the sem and then scurrying for completion in the end. duh? gone are the days when we just used to come to college and boast about being an wannabe engineer, a wannabe is just about to me transformed into an Engineer. Its actually a Mixed feeling and dunno how our next session of life would be, would be missing a lot of good friends and some real Different Chaps…

Last Sessional

Today was the last sessional that I would ever give in my engineering college life. After giving 83 sessionals in the last 4 years today was the last and the 84th Sessional… Ahh its a good feeling to get rid of them but also a bad feeling to Miss those awesome moments that me and My friends shared whilst preparing for the sessionals. The ultimate Khap That we used to make while studying.. those 2 hrs of preprations and then going in to the hall as if we knew all.. would surely miss them

These sessionals were also a litle different as for the first time and the last time also πŸ˜› we did a complete PEN DOWN in the exams.. all weren’t with us but we saw new facets in many persons.. Anyways this is life and the evening after Sessionals… Gonna Miss them surely…
